Any supporting vendor willing to do a group buy on Osram Silverstars? I am sure that several of us non HID members could use them for lows, highs, and fogs.

I am up for at least one set. Thanks. :)

I have the OSRAM Silverstar H1 bulbs, great light, no question. I think I paid about $34 shipped for the pair about a year and half ago.

Now the Apexcone HID kit is selling for $200 shipped, it's a bit more than OSRAM bulbs, but at that price I could not resist upgrading. See the Apexcone GB thread for details. I only mention this because I am a firm OSRAM believer and never thought I'd go to HID due to the price being $300. $200 makes it more of a realistic option.

I have not put them in yet, that's going to happen next weekend when I have time. I'll put the OSRAMs in the high beams, to replace the junky ones in there now.

Thread hijack over, good luck with the GB.

I might like a set for my high beams and fogs. Do they color match xenon very well?

I have a vendor looking into doing this and will let everyone know in a few days.

From my research, this bulb is really the best H1 bulb in terms of light output. I am not sure on the color and how well they match HID's. Maybe someone else can chime in?

i have them in my lows(osram H1). I also have chrominum angel eyes. The angel eyes are 6500K and do not match the osram h1 low beams. Not sure if the angel eye 6500K is the same as the HID 6500K.

The Osram will NOT match any xenon bulbs in colour. Just a little whiter. They're pretty much the same colour as halogens - they are halogens, after all. Here's a pic of my friend's car with Osram Silverstar H1 vs my Narva bulbs (normal halogens) in his low beams. (I'm actually running Osram Silverstars now myself)

My car with two types of bulbs:
Left is Narva (normal), Right is Osram Silverstar

On the road, they're a little brighter than normal halogens. IMO they are better than normal halogens, but they aren't anything phenomenal. They won't come anywhere near HIDs in terms of output. I was disappointed when I put them in, they didn't live up to the hype. So you might want to go for the HID in the GB section instead.

they are good if one or both bulbs blow in the lowbeams, then you can get osram or silverstars.
