The hardest part in installing angel eyes on oem headlights is removing the clear plastic lens off because it is glue together and you will end up cracking the plastic lens. The reason why I know is because I try doing it before.:D I just end up buying the Depo's with angel eyes I have now. If I had the money I would had bought ZKW's instead.
Here is a link to a guy who also was trying to the same thing as you.

Did you installed the angel eyes on the oem plastic ones or the glass ones like depo's and zkws ones? If you did it with the oem plastic ones, How did you take apart the plastic lens without breaking it?

Thanks

IMO..If you have plastic lenses, don't do it. You can cook them in the oven to get the plastic off, but then there are issues sealing them afterwords to get them water tight. Might as well just spend the $ to get euro eliipsoids.

HongKong, PM me, I can help with the install. It is very straightforward once you get the housings apart. Ive never done it to stock E36 housings, but if you get some Euro elipsoids(ZKW or Depo) with the glass lens's then it is very easy. I dont know how stock e36 housings kept together, if its glue, you can try heating them in a 200F oven for 20min or so. But dont come after me if they melt :)

IIRC the stock housing are clipped together, with a gasket...

i have to install the speakers, I can do the halos at the same time
