CaracasE30 04-25-2006, 07:11 PM Amazing photos! If i could get em enlarged it would make for some great wallpaper photos.
The BMW Picchio was another DP that did not make the race on sunday for some reason. I was interested in the reason why not, i think its the sexiest of the ugliest
dhabes 04-25-2006, 07:16 PM that pic of the howard boss car through the fence is pretty sweet. Same with the sigalsport BMW.

Steve J. 04-25-2006, 07:46 PM Thats AWESOME!
They need to make that into a poster!
328ischef 04-25-2006, 09:36 PM yeah, that would definitely be hanging on my wall
///Mracer 04-26-2006, 08:37 AM great shot, that is now my background :D
maranelloman 04-26-2006, 09:03 AM Anyone shooting the bird to a billionaire, while racing, in the middle of a corner, gets props from me!!!!!!!!!

If you heard his words about Guy Cosmo while on the in car radio, you'd understand his sentiments in the picture.
That was a nice little "oops" moment for Speed.

maranelloman 04-26-2006, 09:57 AM Charlie, I don't follow. That is not Cosmo in the DP. That is Tracy Krohn.
mcclaskz 04-26-2006, 09:59 AM Yeah, I caught that too! I believe the DP just rammed him from the outside just before hogpen.
dhabes 04-26-2006, 10:03 AM Can you guys fill us in for those of us who missed the comments (ie who said them etc). This picture actually is from practice though, so this probably isnt the cosmo incident.

I know, I was just making reference to the "Dale Jr" moment during the race. Cosmo got into him while they had an incar and radio on in the car being broadcast on speed, he dropped a couple of F bombs live and unbleeped. It was funny listening to the announcers trying to cover.

AndrewBall 04-26-2006, 11:24 AM thats an awesome pic and i like the colors any more picures of that car? from the front maybe
S.Lang 04-26-2006, 12:50 PM Great shots as usual, Jimmy. The second one you posted, of the 997 and M3 in the rain, is beautiful. Really gives the impression of speed and hard racing.

I'm assuming your talking about Billy? He can be hilarious on the radio...especially since he is such a clean driver. When someone messes him up or makes a bad move, he can really go off. There have been a few pretty hilarious radio conversations.
maranelloman 04-26-2006, 03:16 PM Do you mean Bill Auberlen?

Thanks, I wish it gave even more of an impression of how wet it really was. I think I'm still drying out.
Heres one more of the Alhadeff BMW.

It made the race Sunday. Finished 37th overall. Not much to write home about, but it still was there unlike some of the other maufacturers.
It was Matt Alhadeff that dropped the F Bombs on SPEED and that is likely Matt in the car giving the bird to the Krohn DP.
As always, nice shots Jimmy.
dhabes 04-26-2006, 07:52 PM Do you mean Bill Auberlen?
I was but I guess the other guys were talkin about Matt A.
Julian 04-26-2006, 08:28 PM Anywhere we can get high-res photos? I'd love to use one for my background.

Auberlen is a super-clean driver. A number of times last season as he'd go by me, he'd actually give a wave of thanks out his window. I always drove my line, he always found a clean way around (we were in different classes), and he usually waved.
Pretty unique, actually!

How many fingers was he holding up when he waved? :stickoutt
maranelloman 04-27-2006, 09:32 AM LOL....all of them.
dmwhite 04-27-2006, 10:22 AM this might explain the 1 finger salute... ;)

What a great series of pictures.
scottbm3 04-27-2006, 11:16 PM Charlie, I don't follow. That is not Cosmo in the DP. That is Tracy Krohn.
Actually that is either Jorg Bergmiester or Colin Braun. It's the 76 car not the 75. Can't see the helmets, so I can't identify which one. No excusses just clarifying!!!

My money would be on Colin in the DP but that is completely a guess. Either way, some great pics.
M3 Pete 05-01-2006, 02:02 PM What a great series of pictures.+1
The BMW was as far over as he could get, nice tire marks on the DP.
