I've got an honest question for u guys, and I already know the answer for a lot of u, but think about it.

How many of you would actually prefer a BI-monthly meet as opposed to a monthly meet? Reason I ask being that we're going to have a monthly BBQ night, and I know many of you have busy schedules. So my thoughts on this are, for instance, the Salina ppl... bi-monthly will probably work better for them...

Just curious, as I feel that may make better turnouts, but we all know we want to have them monthly. It's just hard for a lot of ppl to devote a whole day every month...

Just curious on the numbers...

Long but fun!
I will try to make all the meets I can before I leave for NH!

I say bi-monthly and continue the monthly BBQ outings.

The BBQ outings are more informal and more hangout sessions while the Hooters meet is more of a show & shine thing. If you make it bi-monthly, I think you'll get a better turn out.

Threadjack: I will scout some locations for the next BBQ get together later this week. Watch for a post on that.

Ok, see, that's what I thought to, hence making this thread... I voted monthly, cuz it's lonely, but feel bi-monthly will turnout better...

There is already a May event planned. The St.Louis guys are planning a big meet in July. The local BMWCCA has differnent events planned through out the summer. For me it is difficult to commit to a gathering two months out. I like going to them, but I often don't know until a week before if I can make it. Looks like June is open. It would be nice to arrange something with the Omaha guys, but no obvouis meet in middle place comes to mind.

Riiight... like KC people would go to Lawrence. Thats been shot down too damn many times in the past to count.

Lawerence is good, but there's guys from St. Jo etc, 435/Metcalf is just a much more centralized location... i've experimented with some different spots with the Nissan/Infiniti guys and that just works the best.

While not one of the locals, bi-monthly is something I can probably handle doing.

May I suggest someplace other than Hooters though.

No idea on other venues but I like the suggestion.

Other venues have been tried in the past, and just can't support us as well as Hooter's does, we don't get harrassed in the parking lot, they love us to come in, don't require one check with a pre-determined tip factored in (which is an issue for some, not for others), you have to please every1 as much as possible and they like us there, have for years, want us to come back, it's a good centralized location by all the highways for all who come, and on occasion, you get a hot waitress. So there are many reasons we have them there. I know there food sucks, but that's all the more reason to eat good at the BBQ meets and then come and drink or watch tv and just hang out and have a good time at the Hooters meets.

your fault, it was your job, you = teh lose(r)

we just don't have a big non-cca crowd that hangs out at all, and most of us are much more into wrenching than drinking.... except you.

Even though im new, i thought i might as well throw my opinion in... Though bi-monthly would give more opertunities for people to come, once monthly would have more people there each time since it would be a rarer event.

bi-monthly means every two months...

semi-monthly means twice a month... n00b

The last time he heard the phrase, she said she was bi-, and that worked out pretty well, so he thought this would too.

But i suppose with my new grammatical understanding i wish i could revote for monthly >_>

Every 2 months seems like too much of a gap to keep it together

It may seem like that just looking at it on paper, but we have the KCC Burrito binge and the monthly BBQ meets, it won't seem like that long, and as Dan said to me earlier, it will make it all that much better when it finally comes ;)

That, and we have like five people, and now that Indi is moving and Eric moved, I'm the only one (me and Timmy) still in Omaha...

And with that in mind, let me put up an announcement about the next BBQ outing.

I chose Wed because those are days that Snow and Kessler are able to make it out. I might make it a random Sunday one time. We'll see.
