I've left a bottle of griot's garage wax out in the TX garage for a year or so now.

Is it still okay to use? or did the heat and old age just kill it?

Probably destroyed all of the cleaning and protecting elements in it.

How is that any different than buying it from a store? Not like items there don't sit for long periods of time, right?

Leaving a bottle in a Texas garage for a year or a storage container / store shelf for a few weeks or maybe a couple months tops?

Actually, it should be fine. Shelf life is usually atleast a couple years as long as it hasn't been frozen.

Even if it had been frozen, wouldn't it still be usable? I mean as long as it has thawed.
