I'm getting my trunk deck redone from a little love tap and I have a giant $20 to spend on a rental from St Farm. I know I'll have to spend more but not looking to drop much more. I'm cheap. There, it's out there.

Farmers only would authorize $20/day for a maximum of 30 days. Enterprise gave me the choice of a Toyota Echo or a Kia Rio for $21.99 a day. I was angry because when I am rear ended I expect their insurance company to rent me a "comparable" vehicle to the car I am accustomed to driving. Irish03 04-24-2006, 12:26 AM you can rent my no ac truck for 20/day, u wreck you buy Offer him $10 for the truck, no tax. :stickoutt SG_M3 04-24-2006, 12:35 AM . I was angry because when I am rear ended I expect their insurance company to rent me a "comparable" vehicle to the car I am accustomed to driving. Why would you expect that? You need you read your insurance policy, $20/30 days ($600) is the standard amount for insurance companies. Its one of those things you should endorse higher. hinzm3 04-24-2006, 12:47 AM The insurance company paid me out $45/day for 5 days when that skank backed into my car. MCM97 04-24-2006, 01:52 AM you get what you pay for. I, however, went cheap and thus have to deal with it. No biggie for a week and frankly driving a four banger for a week after dropping almost $50 in gas today will be o-tay! Nics 04-24-2006, 03:36 AM you can also neg. at the rental places. QFT. I got a '06 dodge durango for $23/day when I threw a fit about them wanting $50/day for it. SecretAznSauce 04-24-2006, 08:48 AM NO, State law states that when the "other" person insurance is paying, they must provide a vehicle comparable to what you are driving. Keep in mind year/value place effect. when my Sc400 was sandwiched, they gave me a Benz c230.. $55/Day. Negociate mofo. but, its your policy paying stfu SecretAznSauce 04-24-2006, 08:49 AM QFT. That's when gas was $1.99. Too bad the gas was twice as expensive as the rental fee, even though insurance picked it up. Well, the rental fee that is. :rolleyes Irish03 04-25-2006, 08:28 PM Why would you expect that? You need you read your insurance policy, $20/30 days ($600) is the standard amount for insurance companies. Its one of those things you should endorse higher. My policy was not paying the claim. He hit me, and his insurance company had to pay for the damage. As I have three vehicles, I don't even have rental car coverage on my insurance policy because I simply do not need it. Bimmerista 04-25-2006, 08:50 PM With a straight face, the woman who worked for Farmers proceeded to tell me that a Toyota Echo or Kia Rio was comparable to a BMW. Blasphemy!!! hinzm3 04-25-2006, 09:08 PM With a straight face, the woman who worked for Farmers proceeded to tell me that a Toyota Echo or Kia Rio was comparable to a BMW. probably because its worth more... Nics 04-26-2006, 12:07 PM With a straight face, the woman who worked for Farmers proceeded to tell me that a Toyota Echo or Kia Rio was comparable to a BMW. Did you slap the stupid out of her afterwards? :lol Irish03 04-26-2006, 07:49 PM probably because its worth more... Not compared to my vehicle's condition, equipment, mileage, and what comparable cars sell for on the market. russiamutha 04-26-2006, 09:05 PM got a loaner today from BMW of Dallas....06 330i with 820miles on the clock. MCM97 04-27-2006, 10:22 AM "Sir, these tires only had 820 miles on them when we gave you the car and now they are almost bald" Def 04-27-2006, 06:00 PM Not compared to my vehicle's condition, equipment, mileage, and what comparable cars sell for on the market. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but a new Toyota Echo or similar is probably worth about what a '99 328 is. Irish03 04-27-2006, 10:45 PM They regretted not agreeing to pay for a nicer rental after I decided to go to the doctor. |
