So I'm driving the ///M3 home after class about 1030 last night. I pull up to a light and notice a Honda Del Sol sitting right next to me. I noticed he's checking out the ride, and he begins to creep up ahead of me. Then he decides to give his engine a nice little fart can rev. I usually don't race on the roads, but it was so tempting. The roads were clear, and it was a beautiful night. Alright lets do this....he might have something under the hood. :rolleyes

He gives another fart can rev....so I let out a monstrous rev all the way to 6000 rpm that growls out my Racing Dynamics exhaust. I look over, and he had a nervous look on his face. I could see the white on his knuckles from gripping the steering wheel. He kept glancing over quickly like his life was on the line. He kept creeping up until his rear bumper was at my front bumper......oh yeah.....he knew he was going to die tonight. Let the sacrifice begin. :evil2

Light blows green, I wait for his fart engine to rev up and I smash the throttle.....then release the clutch. Smoking the tires all the way through first and blowing by him, smash 2nd tires still squealing, hit third, but my car bogs bad but I'm still pulling on him hard....I shut down shortly after. Watch the pathetic fly by, and continue driving....in 3rd gear.

All the while I'm trying to keep my friend awake on the phone while he finishes his drive to Vegas. After the slaughter he asks....WTF was that?? I told him what happened, and then as I grab the shifter to down shift, I noticed it was in 5th gear, not third...:D

Yeah I always make sure when I shift from 2nd to 3rd or 4th to 5th that I always throw the shift away from me before putting it in gear.....I just happened to throw it out too far.

Don't.

There is a spring inside the tranny. Use it ;)

I had some guy in an EVO try to take on the SL55 and he got killed at least 5 times before he let up. Each time I let him catch up, he was all grins and thumbs up. Maybe they just want to see the other car go fast or something

That they do! Like when I took on an C55(?) or sumthin? AMG. I just wanted to get toasted!
