Lookin at the entry list for Mid Ohio and saw a little suprise. Guess that is why you said you are allowed to comment fully until mid May in regards to the adjustments last month.

Congrats on the ride... have fun with the big boys. :buttrock :buttrock

Thanks, guys. I am sort of superstitious, and was trying to keep in on the down-low...

Have fun! The standing starts are a blast! Be sure to practice a couple at pit out (they'll give you a spot for it) during practice......:)

Thanks, mang. That is definitely something I have not done before, and I will practice it plenty!

Sorry Dave...didnt mean to make it public if you didnt want it to be. Just thought it was pretty cool. I certainly wish I was in your shoes right now. I should be up there so I'll be sure to stop by and say hi.

No, it's all good. No reason to apologize at all. After last year's disasters in GAC, I have become superstitious, and thus was not discussing it until it happened. You know, an attempt at undercommit-overdeliver for once!

:lol

I would look forward to meeting you. So far, this is a one-off, but we will see after Mid-O.

Haha...don't practice it too much, or you'll have an angry crew chief on your hands. Give it one or two shots, then you'll have it.

On the start, pretty much drop the clutch and throw caution to the wind. It'll all sort out after a couple of laps.

Have fun out there. Don't think about the standing starts to much. You'll out think yourself and mess it up. Practice a few times and then go on the grid and just do it.

Have fun! I wish I could be there in the FBMW. Just remember don't pull a video game first turn. ;-)

Good luck. Im not sure when the Grand-Am field heads over there but it is always a welcoming track to everyone. Spectator friendly and all. I have never run the track without the damn key-hole which i think blows since coming into the hairpin should be blast.

Grand Am goes to MO in late June.

I'm kinda confused though on how you say you have never run the track without the "damn keyhole". The keyhole is a part of every track configuration that mid ohio has. It is clearly marked on this map.

Now there is a configuration with sort of a chicane type deal right before the keyhole if that is what you are talking about. Usually they dont run that format for Pro races but it was always a fun part of watching the Runoffs, can definately make things interesting. here is a pic of where you can see the difference.

Also, looks like I am probably working Mid Ohio SWC now, Id like to try and meet up with a few people from bf.c just to say hi.

that is what i meant. I thought it was referred to as the key-hole, i know pro races never run it...its mostly a club configuration. I always wanted to run the course and come straight into the "key hole" instead of the S. Short misunderstanding.
