hi all, after some serious though iv decided to buy an 8. iv always liked the style and head turning ability of this car but insurance has stopped me getting one.

i was on the autotrader yesterday and just out of curiosity, i thought i would get a quote for a beast that i was looking at. cheap enough quote so im going to go have a look tomorrow!

so my question is this....

is there anything i should be aware of with the 8? any common faults? are they really bad on fuel?

the model im looking at is the 850ci auto (are they all auto or can i get a manual?

i hope you can help me out here and into a possible 8

There are 6 speed 850s available in the '91 thru '93 models.

With the exception of the 850CSi there are no later model 6 speeds from the factory. The 840 never had a manual transmission in the US models.
