I came across this stuff the other day, so I decided to give it a try. The stuff promises to go on easy and come off easy with it's clear liquid that can be applied to all surfaces without worry. So I decided to give it a try...

Round One

First time I gave it a try, I was worried I was not applying enough... so I layered the stuff on into the sunset trying to finish before dinner. Low and behold, I applied too much and with the temperatures dropping, my hopes were to finish quickly with the wipe-on and wipe-off technique. This is where I learned I applied too much to the car and that the dropping temperatures were preventing the liquid from drying properly. Ugh. I did what I could that night before darkness truely set in. I learned though that while the clear liquid works in your favor to allow easy application, when light becomes a premium commodity, seeing the clear liquid can be quite difficult.

The next morning, I discovered just how difficult it was to see the clear liquid that I had applied the night prior. I grabbed another cloth and started the removal process all over again. Results came out pretty good, but no doubt were slightly foiled by my timing to apply the stuff.

Round Two

I decided to give this stuff a better shot the second time around. Middle of the afternoon, plenty of light and much much warmer temperatures. I washed the car down and started the application process. Ah... things are going much smoother now. Application of hte product went much smoother (plus I didn't apply as much) and I did the entire car at once giving it plenty of time to dry the original panels.

When I went to take off the product, it came off much easier the second time around. It requires a bit of muscle to remove the liquid as it is does not dry into a paste or powder. It remained slick and the only way to know you removed it all was to rub your finger on it. It was either slick or smooth. Smooth indicated that you got it all off.

After removal, the car did look pretty nifty and clear... especially for a three year old car. I followed up this time around with the spray on detailer to enhance the shine. That stuff went on much easier. Spray on and wipe off and it was easy to do. I didn't see much difference after I applied that, but I assume it is for after a week or so has gone by and you've washed the car again.

More will follow when I wash the car this weekend to see how it handles the abuse I normally put the car through. However, I can report that after a 400 mile road trip after washing the car, the polish made it easy to wash off bugs and road goo that built up on the front end of the car. The unburnt exhaust gases were also washed off the rear with minimal fuss.
