</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>Winchester, Va. - BMW Team PTG announced today that Martin Jensen of Smoerum, Denmark will join BMW of North America's American Le Mans Series GT2 effort as the team's fourth driver. Jensen drove with the team at the season-opening Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring in March and will co-drive the No. 22 BMW Team PTG M3 for the remainder of the year with Justin Marks.
An accomplished driver and podium finisher in the Danish Touring Car championship, 26-year old Jensen made three Series GT2 starts in 2005, scoring a best finish of second at Portland.
"I'm very happy and proud to be joining PTG in the year they return to the American Le Mans Series," said Jensen. "Tom Milner and PTG know how to win, so it's up to Bill (Auberlen), Joey (Hand), Justin and me to deliver the results. With Yokohama working hard to develop the best tires for our cars, I think we will be a strong contender this season. I'm looking forward to getting back on track with Justin and the rest of the team."
"Selecting our fourth driver was not an easy decision," said BMW Team PTG owner Tom Milner. "We considered a number of capable drivers and Martin not only proved to me that he could do the job, but he could give 100 percent to all parts of our program. That became the deciding factor."
Jensen will reacquaint himself with the team at a one-day test at Summit Point Raceway, in Summit Point, W. Va., on April 25 as the team readies for the next two rounds of American Le Mans Series competition, the May 12 Lone Star Grand Prix in Houston and May 21 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
