Today as I put down my parking brake and put my M (SMG) into first gear to roll down the inclined driveway, I heard a loud BANG. The bang came from the passenger front. I got out and checked but didnt really see anything. Now as I drove it for a while, everytime I turn right or stop there seems to be a wobble or something loose on the front passenger side. I did some searches and think this could be the common control arm problem. Can someone please elaborate on this? Is this covered under warranty even though my car is on Pss9? Symptons:

- Car makes a wobbling sound when turning right or stopping on the front passenger
-Can also be described as "clunking" or definately sounds like something is loose
- Car does not vibrate or does not steer off into one direction when the steering wheel is let go

any help is appreciated.

#1 stop driving your car #2 see if any thing is loose and inspect for anything that may be jacked, this means removing the wheel make sure the bottom of the strut is bolted tight. ect

Could be a broken spring or something else in the strut. Best to check it out asap.

Ok just finished tugging at the wheel and then I removed the wheel and visually inspected. Everything seems normal. The strut seemed normal. My Pss9 seems normal. Nothings wrong with the wheel or tires. There are things that I couldnt see however, things that are covered with a shield.

I then took it for a little spin and didnt notice any thudding, thumping, or anything other then the normal sounds.

I normally back up into my inclined driveway and would hear pops sometimes. I read its normal due to the spring (bounce?) (pop?) I forgot what exactly the thread said. Due to the fact that I was inclined when I heard the bang, could this be it? The thing I dont get, is it got worse as I drove it, but now its gone?? I dont know, I guess ill drive it a little more and see.

ANy input is appreciated.

possible sway bar connections
yank on the connection links.

possible wheel bearing.
with tire off the ground pull back and forth on the top and bottom of the tire; there should be NO play.

Hmm I guess ill check again. When you say "no play" you mean it shouldnt move at all right? ALso with the connection links, it should be firm? (obviously not loose) .

Anybody know if this would be covered under warranty if its the case? thanks again guys
