For those who are maintaining, upkeeping, & constantly cherish your beloved e30, I would like to make a toast.

The e30 is bar none one of the most popular BMWs ever produced & though we're moving on into the future, the number of immaculate e30s are dropping at a fast rate.

Recently, I've come across a gentleman at a gas station who saw my car & approached me asking if I'd sell it. I kindly rejected his offer saying that I've only had this car since September & that I'm slowly, but surely, making this car to modernized specs. This gentleman applauded me, but added that the only reason he bought his e30 was because of its classic appeal and that I should keep that idea in mind with my e30. I asked if he has another car, in particular a BMW, and he responded by saying "Yes, I also own an 83 633CSi & my wife drives a 94 740il." He added, "Everything after the new millenium is just too refined for my taste."

That very same moment, the thought entered my mind that the only reason I bought the e30 was because of its simplicity and that the mods I had originally planned would take my car out of its modest state. Time finally caught up & we parted our ways. He told me to keep up the great work. As he walked away, I took note that he was walking back to a completely immaculate, completely stock black/red 88 325iS. It was one of the most flawless e30s I have ever seen outside of a predominantly BMW environment.

At that moment, I had an epiphany! I decided that I will maintain the classic look of my car and not "mod the hell" out of my e30, but to restore it to new specs & to accessorize it with subtle and tasteful mods, such as H&R Sport springs, 15" Euro Basketweaves wheels painted in Nogaro trim, & a new exhaust system.

I would like to conclude by saying thank you for your time & that I wish you the best for your automobile, beit an e30, e36, e46, e39, or what have you.

Good day!

Here here ..nice little write up Mikey .

But just stay away from adding huge wheels and your E30 will still maintain its classic 80's good looks .
In a boxy sort of way of course . :D

$1200!! damn looks badass though.

The 524td will be fine for around 300rwhp. Especially after its been ported :)

Do you have any diffs for sale? I'd like to pick one up locally if at all possible..

Good Sunday morning reading. Since I am sticking with the whole "commuter car" thing, all I wanna do is exhaust, suspension(needs it anyways), and wheels. I have a few other plans for it, but nothing to detract from the original design. I believe in "subtle bling", as I say, like my E46 for example. Bigger wheels, painting certain trim pieces, headlight retro, interior, etc...

Well even this one would be a great start :

Nice piece and its about $850 .
But the other one is just sooo damn sexy ...and is a better piece than the other tubular ones that are being offered here .

About the diffs ...yes I have plenty of them , only LSD that I'm missing is the 3.46 and I'm trying to track one down .
But you know me ...I'm holding on to most of them until I decide on what will work best for my application .

I might have a 3.25LSD for sale though ...that should work great with a TD manifold powered car .

No turbo, just run the exhaust straight through the hood.

I have had my e30 for almost 9 years.... ...apparently. 8 of those 9 years I thought my baby beemer was parted out and crushed. In 1998 The car was totaled. Still a clean title, but it cost too much to fix (which is why e30s are on the decline) I loved that car so much, it was my very first car, and you never forget your first. I kept the beemers key on my keychain for the past 8 years, even though the car was sold as a parts car to restore an 89.

Whatever was left of the car was given to their friend, and they tried to restore it. They ended up leaving it at a repair shop after learning how much it would cost to fix. And there it sat for 2 years! He left no contact information, and several people wanted to buy it from the business... ...one BMW enthusiast wanted it so badly, that he ran a vehicle inquiry on it, and found out that I was still on the title.

He wanted to fix it up. I was so happy that the car was finally going to be taking well care of. After all these years of torment, it was going to have a loving home. However, I finally went down there and saw it... ...Im sorry, but I just cant sell that thing... ...I still have a HUGE attachment to it. I was going to get a replacement title to sell it, but now Im going to have to have just to prove that its mine (just incase)

I really dont have the money to restore the car, but thankfully the man who ditched it restored the exterior... ...It has a bad motor, but thats because the guy who wanted my engine, probally gave him the bad one... ...it also needs 4 new tires, as theyve all dry rotted from years of being parked. If it hadnt had the repairs that it did get, I would have sold it.

I feel bad about not selling it... ...after all, this guy pretty much found my car and reunited us... ...he deserves something. I'll probally give him a reward of some sort... ...but man... ...e30s rule! ...if beemers could talk
