Im pretty certain its just my DME, not a cheap piece to replace, if you take a look at some pics of it in the 'Off-topic' thread. Called the local J-yards earlier and none of them have one specifically for my car. I even stopped by PPRAUTO and showed the busted DME to Ralph.. and yup, as he confirmed it'll definitely gonna need to be replaced. ouchh.

I did already last night; but nothing yet. On mine, there's a quarter size hole below the windshield that's direct to the connector of the DME unit. So I assume water found its way through there and it soaked up. Now it's all corroded, great. Tomorrow after class around noon, I'm gonna stop by PPR auto and have Ralph hook me up with a DME to be shipped overnight. Yes, I dont think I could wait another week! you know why heh.

tru. but. the clipse still has the red '05 registration stickers on the plates lol and i wouldnt wanna get pulled over. Incase i happen to drive it to get test driven to a buyer. Otherwise I could also let it sit on the driveway w/o getting registered.

It was really the DME, but I hesitated and replaced the crank position sensor. Then it end up not being it anyway and went ahead and ordered the new DME for overnight shipping this past weekend and fired UP.. n in between all that time wasted just to get it running, I put new belts on, belt tensioner, flushed the coolant, valve cover gasket, and spark plugs. That was one hell of a week for me *breathes out*

Not to mention any city driving I did at night when me and the x-whore used to go out... another 20-30 miles atleast. And we lived in San Jose!!! (huge effin city)... oh and my Jetta Wolfsburg got 33MPG at 85-90mph... and My civic got 40 MPG.

I've never heard of a supercharger for the S14....or any type of FI for that matter. Well anything short of custom. That engine is a terrible candidate to be supercharged anyways. First of all, the compression is too high for FI. Second, the engine is highly strung out....you couldn't possibly squeeze any more power out of it without stroking it. That engine was meant to be NA. You'd save more money dropping an S50 in there and going FI.

of coarse i got it. that car is clean! i got it for 4500 out the door. i would like to say its well worth it. i pick it up after work today... it;s not a racer... i have to show it some rebuilding loving before i bring the rpms up to high... i would hate to kill a car i just got.

Yeah that was the plan before i got rear ended in my e30 m3, i was planning on buying the stroker kit that Turnermotorsports has for E30 m3 engine, it's the only stroker kit on there site to then i was gonna get the RMS stage 3 supercharger for it. There's only one guy i know running the RMS supercharger on his E30 m3 & he's on dtmpower.net his screen name is UsaMaximan...I thought about doing the s50 swap at first when i first had it but i was like if i get another motor what am i gonna do with the e30 m3 motor. I can easily tell exactly what the problem is, i've been building engines for a very long time so i should be able to find out. found another problem just now. the coolent fill tank it leaking.. and it looks like out of the cap. i took the cap off and the thing is completely fun. since it is so full i think it breaks the seals and leaks.

I told you that you should of gotten it inspected. :eek: Ok, no need to worry about the rattling fan noise. Does it do it only when cold and you first start up? And is does it sound like its tapping something? Does it do it only sometimes? If so, next time it makes the noise check your fan shroud on your radiator. It will probably be loose. THe fan is just hitting it. When the car heats up it goes away. When I had this problem I noticed that my shroud was mounted with zip ties!!

kevin after searching threads and google. i have found that it is my tensioner. it needs to be reset or replaced.... forums recomend replacement. so while i am at that i might just replace all the belts too since the one is almost shot.

Oh.....damn.....I forgot about the tensioner on the M42's. $$$ unless you're doing it yourself. I know alot about the M20, but I'm a little short on the M42. I've heard it's a great engine though.
