Spotted: White E30 M3 with roof rack in Wakefield, MA at the lights on Water St. Anyone on here? Don't usually see any of those around here. The exhaust sounded good. not sure why the roof rack was on there. They look wierd unless on an iX.

I spotted a Bronzitbeige E28 (528e, I think) in Auburn yesterday. I doubt the owner will spot this, the car looked poorly-maintained and most peeps here tend to try keeping their cars up.

I see two other E28's almost everyday also. One is in one of the Bose parking lots in Framingham, the other is at a home on Egell Road in the same town.

I see a LOT of BMW's of various models while on that road to & from work everyday, and plenty in the town of Sudbury where I work. Most are MUCH newer and nicer than mine though.

That's awesome! There is a couple Gallardos around my area. They don't seem as badass as the older Lambos though.


Also a couple of weeks ago, I saw a Interlagos Blue e60 M5 in Peabody. I doubt the owner is on this board, but I was shocked to see that around here. There is still a waiting list for it isnt there? I really disliked the way the new M5 looked, but seeing it in person made me change my mind. Very mean looking car.

Yeah, it was ahead of me in traffic, and I only saw it pull away. I was turning so I didn't get to follow it.


Today I saw a crappy e34 with a kit on it and an ac schnitzer badge on the back on 128 North in Peabody.

I saw the white e30 M3 again! (Main Street, Lynnfield, coming down the offramp from rte.128) I want to know who it is. I am pretty sure it was the same one I saw, although no roof rack this time.

Is there something wrong with me, when I see an e30 M3, and I get all excited as if it was a McLaren F1?

Im camping out at Limerock Park 5/26-5/29 for the Rolex GT Cup and Grand Am races. Bunch of people going. You should come too. Much better than some meet in Providence.:D

I am in Saugus (Wakefield line) and I know of quite a few bimmers around here my roommate has an e36 325i sedan and will soon have his 500rwhp E46 M3 back from Cali.

I have seen a black Z3 roadster on several occasions arround Keene, I saw it parked just off main street a few days ag in the McCues bar and restarunt.. There are Dinan stickers on both side skirts and chrome vents instead of black ones. It is a sweet looking car.;)

Saw a red 2002 square tail in Lynn today. It's in someones driveway along my route to school. I am not sure the name of the street, but it's right before an intersection. It was towards the back of the driveway along side a Celica? and an RX-8. There was some people outside listening to what sounded like Peurto Rican rap music, when I was waiting at the lights. Probably not anyone on here.

My daily commute takes me from I-84W in MA (more a southerly route) to I-291W to I-91N, to RT20W to the RT20 exit, just shy of the airport. Then reverse it at 5:00PM.

This morning I was in my '88 535i, and I saw "warp12" as I passed a black E36 heading towards Hartford. On my way home at more reasonable rates, I passed a nice silver E39 530i with MA vanity plates.

Sounds like TB151s old e46 M3. The guy that bought it has a YALE sticker in the back window. Its not a widebody it just has Iforged 19s that have a monster rear lip.

Yeah, that was probably it. I didn't get a good look at it, but It just appeared to have larger fender flares or something, maybe the wheels gave it that illusion.

Past two days I've seen two E36 M3s on 95 South near Topsfield. Yesterday was a purple coupe (but I was in my Jeep so he didn't look), today I past a real clean Alpine M3 coupe and gave a wave.

i live on highland st. where do u? i meet that guy with the techno once at auto zone, he's a harley guy and he came over to me saying on this stuff and i was like here we go a meat head that knows nothing bout european cars...then he told me he had a techno and if i have ever seen him....anyway it was interesting

Wow I didn't realize that many people on this board live in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:place><st1:PlaceName>Worcester</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType>County</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>. I also spend a lot of time driving on 122 in worcester/paxton/rutland (girlfriend lives out there) and have had my share of close calls with law enforcement on that road. It’s hard at times to resist the urge of flying down some of the straights and nice sweeping curves that 122 has to offer.

I spotted a NJ-tagged E39 530i on I-84 Eastbound around 6pm yesterday. I have a similar black one, so it caught my eye. (The xenons helped with that too. ;) )

I was (and still am) in my E90 325xi loaner from Foriegn Motors West and we played cat & mouse from Manchester all the way to Sturbridge MA by virtue of the heavy traffic, but the driver never exchanged so much as a glance with me. How sad. :shifty

Anyhow, this one appeared that it might be a 2002 like mine, but no sport package as it still had chrome trim around the windows and was riding on stock 16"ers. In fact, it looked bone stock.

No, haven't had the Chevelle out this season at all... it's stripped down for a new paint job. I've got the body work pretty much 90% done, so *hopefully* she'll see asphalt before the end of the season.

Spotted a really nice e39 540 at Hannaford in Peabody today around 11:30 or so. Maroon-ish color. I don't know what kind of wheels it had, but they looked like M Paralells. I think they were something else though.

Found out there are 2 e60 M5's in my own town, followed one home the other day. I was amazed to find out that there are two of these cars here as I live in a small suburb type town.

I spotted a red 2002 going on 85 through Hopkinton today, we exhanged waves.

On I-291 from Springfield all the way onto the Mass Turnpike at the interchange in Chicopee, this afternoon (9/27) at around 5:35PM. I sighted a very unusually-colored M3 convertible, a strange cross between green/gold (black top up), actually hard to describe the color.

Driven by an attractive blonde woman.

4pm yesterday, spotted a white Z3 M Roadster on Cambridge St. in Cambridge

Someone in my parking garage, probably a doctor from MGH (right next to it)picked up a new M5. Silver w/ black, and the //M driving gloves on the center console were just cute. :) I think it's a doctor, as the car is not driven/parked there daily, so he probably also has a daily beater.

And last Friday, I see a new blk 7-series backed into a spot, with Euro front plates… I dunno which country cuz it didn't say (no country code, just blank red space). I look closer and I see no inspection sticker from any state. Intrigued, I walk over to the side… shadowline trim, SP wheels… fully loaded with rear i-drive and tv/dvd player/ entertainment center… I look at the gauge cluster and it's a USDM one… I walk around the back, and the car has very loosely attached NJ plates. Weird. It was a 750i.

I was on a job interview in Burlington yesterday, over in an industrial/business park off route 3. When I pulled into the lot, there were TWO fellow E39's!

One a silver MA plate 528i, the other a NH plate gray 530i.

I spotted a E46 3 Series (Mass. tags) heading North on 95 in Virginia (inbetween Ashland and Doswell) on Monday evening. It was a 4dr, yet it had a M3 rear badge. It had great wheel fitment and stance and I was eggin' the driver on to play with me in my Miata but evidently he didnt think I was worth the time.

Car looked gorgeous though!

2: Aftermarket or upgraded wheels, tires
3: It's clean and shiny after recent rains of snow.
4: Older one, like yours, and not shagged, few missing parts
5: Clean inside, may have signs in there like gloves, roll cage, boost gage ;)

It's not foolproof, but a simple ice breaker like "How do you like your Bimmer?" can be very telling. A short "hate it" is a sign to walk away, whereas a response like "Well I just did all the suspension bits and put a HP clutch in..." is an invite to talk more.

Works for me.

Yeah, I usually looks for clues like that, but most of the time I don't see much of anything that would give me a clue. I work the lot at Hannaford at night, so I'm always checking out the car that come and go. The 540i caught my eye because I notice when he pulled in he purposely parked next to a 330ci on the side of the building.

I guess I'm not used to approaching people, but I try. I ran into a guy with an e12 that is really nice looking. He had a CCA sticker on the window which kind of clued me in. Although you don't see too many e12's around anyways.

Most people in my area just have money and the BMWs just mix in with the other Inifiti's, Lexus, and Merc's, driving around. Enthusiests a few and far between around here, so I'm always on the lookout. When I travel outside of Rte. 128, I tend to see more nice "enthusiest" cars around though. 128 is some kind of "no enthusiests" forcefield or something.

A big tip off for a non enthusiast is chrome rims

Spotted today around 5:00pm, e30 Touring, with a german plate on the front. It looked like it was Delphin Grey and it did not sound stock. Maybe S52? in it. Definately had serious rubber on the rears.

I tried to turn around and follow it, but I lost him because I got held up at a stop light. Definately one of the cooler cars I have seen around.

I always though that E36 to E46 was a revolution... E46 to E90/92 is more like an evolution... sometimes I think that they just redesigned it cuz they "had to".

Yeah I agree. I like the more traditional looking car, and BMW seems to be going a little crazy with their designs, as well as a lot of other companies. I must say though, the e92 is beautiful. I want to hate it, but I can't. For some reason it looks so awesome in person, but when I see it in pictures it's just unappealing.

Even the 328i looks great. I saw one at work a couple weeks ago.

Haha, yeah that sucks. I know how that feels. I'm still 17, well more like 18 in a few weeks, but I hate being seen as a child when it comes to things like that. I agree though, it's a very sleek looking car.

On another note, tonight I saw a silver e39 that looked as though the interior lighting LED color had been changed from red to a silvery white/blue. It was definitely not from the interior reading or overhead lights being on, it was clearly the convenience lighting or whatever they call it. Very cool look. Would have loved to ask about it but he was going the other way at a light.

A convertable is completely fine in the New England area, but be prepared to worry about the cold weather. They don't retain heat very well. So you will need to blast the heat all the time. However if you buy during the winter months you can probably get a very good deal, since they don't sell well. So if you can live with it through the winter, then the discount might be worth it.

You live in Peabody? Do you shop at Hannaford? I work there. If you ever seen the car in my sig there, don't be afraid to say "Hello."

I saw an E36 vert this morning on the MassPike Eastbound. I was surprised 'cause when we got closer I noticed it was painted in Techno Violet just like my M, but it was a 328 or 325 with bumpers and mouldings just like a M3. Very good looking though.
