Man that was a fun session... I shoulda accidentally tan in A group earlier!
Eric, Mike and I saw you and JessIe coming out of turn one from the skidpad. We saw you gaining on him, then you passed him, then he was ahead. Looked like you guys were having fun!!
We got back as you were leaving. JessIe was already gone.

THAT's where you guys went... we were like.. where the hell are those guys!
We were at the skidpad but I had a clear view of people coming out of turn 1.
The instructors took Mikey and me for rides on the skidpad. Then Mikey drifted around it for some time.

I have one pic of my racecar, and another of my 240SX brother who came out. Between the track time and the classroom time, I wasn't able to snap any pics. I didn't think you wanted pics of your car. I figured you owning it was bad enough. :dunno
I'll get more this weekend.
Oh, I have your tire pressure guage. I will bring it with me to this weekend's race.
Mikey52 04-11-2006, 11:15 AM Andy, you said that you were going to frame that picture for my private collection! :mad The crackers in my hand are a nice touch.
I had an awesome time yesterday. it was good seeing everyone (except Andy) again. The skidpad was much more fun than I thought it would be. I am happy to report that you can get the Evo to do a mAd dRiFt, y0!! :alright

Was there a yellow Stang in their group? I went into the advanced group at the end of the day and this yellow Stang thought he was the shits (edit: flying down the straights)... so I let him by and me and Jesse totally screwed his concentration.. HAHAHAH

I believe they had 2 Mustangs in the CR group. One was white and the other yellow. I think the yellow one was supercharged. I am almost positive this is the one you let by.

I waved you by Eric, so we could play. He kinda tagged along, until he saw we were moving at a good clip and he pointed both of us by.

I am sure I could've gotten better, but I needed them fast. Based on my experience with Axxis Ultimates, I think the HP+ should be fine, right?
What would you have recommended? The only other pad that I know of are the Carbotechs. :dunno

Andy, if you weren't fading Ultimates, HP+ will be fine for you. If you get faster, contact Eric and get some track pads. IIRC it takes 20 mins to change pads on your car.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I am not as hard on my brakes as most people. I only faded them once. Hell, I hardly floor my car out there. :laugh
Yeah, changing the brake pads are easy.
JessIe, would you mind if I ride with you on Sat. for a session? I am trying to get a better idea how the faster drivers enter corners and the hard braking zones.

you should be ok with the HP+, I have used them for the past 2 years because I could still use them on the street and hill climbs. For future track only suff I will be getting some carbo's because I was getting some fade the last time down at Summit.

No problem as long as they allow riders. I promise I'll keep it off the grass this time

Yeah, even though it was a little shocking, and fun, let's just stay on the pavement. ;)

No, you shouldn't feel the difference on the street. Have you noticed the "noise" yet? The only downfall w/them as street pads is they are quite loud IMO.
Edit: I almost forgot: RICER!

hmm... wait... black group? I guess i quoted the wrong part of the post :) .. i was talking about VIR.
So far, a group of us (CR) are doing MazdaDrivers (VIR June). I've ran that course once, and its a blast.!!!! I loved full course, but the long straight gets a little old after a while.
First session was good. The brakes feel A LOT better!!!
I was nervous being in the Intermediate group. I got more point bys than I expected!
Nice cool weather too. VTEC spools up a little quicker. :D

I am almost certain you will need to be here for 8:00am tech. I'll make sure.
Mikey, that sux, man! :( Perfect timing, huh? :(
An E36 M3, a Boxster, and a Lexus SC300 went off today. The E36 was the worst. Not too bad damage though.

That sucks, maybe we'll see you tomorrow anyway.
Man, what an amazing day. I was VERY pleased with the way my car felt!!:buttrock Brakes felt AWESOME, heel-toeing was much smoother than it was at the Corvette Club's DE, and the car felt very neutral and predictable.
For some reason a few people didn't want to point me by even though I was on their bumper. Two cars in particular; 350Z and a 944 Turbo. :dunno. EVERY session I had to force my way by them. They would point the Porsches by, but when I approached, they would hold off on the point by. :(
There was almost a MAJOR accident coming out of Turn 8 (section BEFORE the bridge) A Porsche GT Cup car (one with the big azz spoiler) lost traction and skidded off on the right side of the track. Others slammed on their brakes causing two more to go off. One stalled in the middle of the road. Approx. 8-10 more cars came through at WOT!!! A yellow E36 was WOT, saw the accident, lifted, and started drifting through the turn. He literally almost hit the car that stalled in the middle of the road. That had to be the absolute worst place for that to happen!
We got some rain, particularly during 2 sessions. This caused 4-5 cars to go off.

Yeah, that damn Mike with RA1's, Carbon Hood (I heard it's good for 50hp), and that "Ultimate Downforce" spoiler passed me on my out lap when my tires were cold, brakes had no heat in them, and I had shut off my engine. I got him back in the hot pit, though.
