VAC already had a solid engine mount with one solid and one hard rubber tranny mount...the entire thing was sold as a kit ...Tony's philosophy was that the hard single hard rubber mount allowed a factor of compliance for the 4 points (2 engine, 2 tranny) that the driveling connected to the chassis...I didn't understand this at first so I discussed it with him...so I wonder now why he would go with a solid tranny mount...Turner had a solid tranny and engine mounts at the time and Tony and I talked about the difference in philosophies between his setup and turners...

I'd heard from Ray Mason and some others that the VAC setup for mounts was really good so I went with Tony's philosophy...but now he's got full solid mounts...what's the deal?

BILLET tranny mounts? The whole car must appear to be having a seizure.....

these ones are different then the past ones. I never saw the old ones but tony stopped by our shop last night and showed us a bag of some very interesting parts he just made on his new lathe and some tools he just got for his CNC machine. Among them was a new Delrin Control arm bushing that comes is either stock or offset.

he made some fancy dry sump pulley that will either work as an underdrive pulley with a threaded spot to put a dry sump pulley on that or just as a dry sump pulley. its was very well made.

when we worked with him on setting up my m3 this winter we went with his 3 legged dog philosphy. 2 solid engine mounts and one solid tanny mount. That was another new part for E30's he made was a solid transmission mount that is again billet like the rest of the parts. He said hes working on more things as well.
