you will want to get rid of the grey first to get rid of the bump/rough look. the grey is actually a protective coating. if you search there are numerous threads about what to use. you may get lucky. some cars have body matched paint underneath the grey so all you would have to do is clear coat it.

but anyways i took my car to Custom Concepts on Shields b/w I-240 and I-35. They were a little pricey though. for just the grey rocker panels i would go to Maaco.

yeah i was going to take off the grey coating after i figured out where i was going to get it painted, because my bumpers are still grey on the bottom side. so i'm not really wanting to roll around with my bimmer half and half. so my real question is for bumpers and side skirts.

but doesn't Maaco look a little cheap? i was kinda wanting something that looks thick like the original paint, ya know? hopefully that makes sense.

well they painted and installed my sideskirts as well as painted and installed a new passenger side fender (i had a booboo). it was like $1000. but most of that was the labor of fixing the fender. for the rockers i would say maybe $400?

thanks. well $400 isn't too bad. but i'd need the bumpers painted too, so that'll be another $300-400 prolly.

well since my lip was destroyed... when i go up there to drop my new lip to get painted i can ask for a quote for you.
