Really hoping for some dry weather this time!:D jayhudson 04-06-2006, 12:21 PM I'm in. Gotta change out my GC LCAs to the "crybaby arms" this weekend and redo alignment. No more rain.... please! Jay Dinanify 04-06-2006, 12:24 PM My fingers are crossed, Jay (chants "nooo raiin! noooo raaaain!") santacruisin 04-06-2006, 07:24 PM what does ncrc stand for for all of us complete noobs? jayhudson 04-06-2006, 07:52 PM Northern California Racing Club Jim Bassett 04-07-2006, 02:56 PM Hmmm, tempted to come out and play with you guys - I'm starting to get that "itch" :) (Short-term financial obligations have been met, so I can get back to tracking/racing - next race isn't until May at Miller.) Hmmmm............ Jim jayhudson 04-07-2006, 03:28 PM Hmmm, tempted to come out and play with you guys - I'm starting to get that "itch" :) (Short-term financial obligations have been met, so I can get back to tracking/racing - next race isn't until May at Miller.) Hmmmm............ Jim Come on out and play, Jim. Not sure if you know it, but NCRC has an exhibition race at most of their events. If the track is dry, I'll be doin' it. I've got nothing for the rain. My RA-1s are close to slicks and my hard as a rock street tires didn't do too well in the wet last weekend. Driving smooth is one thing, but these things were awful. I'd be scared to death to try to go fast and if I played it safe, I'd be in everyone's way. We've actually had less rain up here than Central CA. No race tracks though :( Jay Jim Bassett 04-07-2006, 03:39 PM Come on out and play, Jim. Not sure if you know it, but NCRC has an exhibition race at most of their events. If the track is dry, I'll be doin' it. Yep, I'm aware. I've driven with and instructed for them several times :) I've got nothing for the rain. My RA-1s are close to slicks I'm in the same boat (no pun intended :) ). Part of the reason I'm not at BW this weekend - too short of a notice on my end to get fresh race tires, and the street/non-race RA1s are near dead as well. We've actually had less rain up here than Central CA. I'm am SOOOOO ready for it to stop raining. Ugh. Jim jayhudson 04-07-2006, 04:25 PM Yep, I'm aware. I've driven with and instructed for them several times :)Jim Well then, should be an easy decision. Dave recently sent out an e-mail saying they were short on instructors. I'll be instructing. Come on out. Worst case, if it rains, is you instruct and don't drive.... but it won't cost you much. Not as much fun as the boys in BW will be having though. I sure hope they don't use up all the good times before I get out there at Reno-Fernley in June. That'll be my 1st CR race. Planning on TH in Aug and SP in Sept for sure. Maybe LS in Sept or PIR in Oct. I have the time but not sure of the $$. Jay Jim Bassett 04-07-2006, 05:12 PM Well then, should be an easy decision. Dave recently sent out an e-mail saying they were short on instructors. Yep, got that. Just deciding how much/if I want to work for my track time :) I'm just looking for something to "keep in tune", mostly, since my last track time was early March (one day). Another possibility is a day at Sears later in the month with NASA; only half-hour from home. That'll be my 1st CR race. Excellent! I should be "back to normal' starting with the Miller race and be at every race after, except for Phoenix. Jim |
