I bought one for 30 bucks online so it is kind of precious to me. It has some dirt stains on it that I would like to wash out. Should I wash it in the washing machine or not? With bleach or without?
Or should I wash it by hand with soap?
I dont want to ruin it, but it really needs a wash.
Any suggestions?:dunno

Do not use bleach. OK to put in washing machine, I usually wash mine along w/ my absorber chamois using liquid detergent.

I only have Tide powder "quick dissolving" detergent. Is that ok?

the best towels, at the best prices: www.pakshak.com
I've had them recommended by several gold medallion winners. For $30 you can 5 towels, free shipping. The owner is a true enthusiast who cares more about his product than making money...

$30!!!! Am I buying them at the wrong place. I got 3/$10. I've also been washing them by hand with Woolite. It seems to get them pretty clean.
Also, the guy I bought them from said that you should be able to use just one towel for the entire car. Although technically I could see how that's done, I've been using, on average, 3 towels for the entire car.

...but be sure not to use dryer sheets when drying these or any other towels used to wipe your car. Leaves chemical residue behind that can cause streaking, loss of gloss, etc.

You can wash the microfibres in the machine np at all, BUT DO NOT use fabric softner of any kind as it will destroy the properties of the fibre, which is what makes them so great! :)

Yup, no prob in the washer.... I just try to dry them ONLY with other MF towels, so as not to pick up lint from other stuff.... Also, I would NOT use powder detergent, just the idea of particles getting lodged doesn't sit well with me, as remote as it may seem.... I like to use something ver mild...like Dreft (baby clothing detergent). It works great!
