View Full Version : Need Athens help - need photograps of two properties
talisbell 04-04-2006, 05:28 PM Subject says it all. I need some photographs snapped of two properties, the old Winn Dixie at 2467 Jefferson Road and the old Roses shopping center at 4066 Lexington Road. The former is pretty straight forward, but on the latter I need photos of some of the "stuff" that is surrounding the building. By "stuff" I mean the bar, the car wash, the massage parlor.
If anyone in Athens can snap a few pictures, it will save me the drive. I'll buy you a beer (or two) or a slice of pizza (or two) if you are underage.

Robstah 04-04-2006, 08:24 PM It's getting quite dark out right now. I might be able to take them tomorrow, if you want.

Thanks. I should know in the a.m. if I need them I appreciate it. While I love the excuse to leave the office for a few hours, I am slammed tomorrow. I could send someone over to do it, but my team is short this week due to spring break.
Again, I apprecaite it.

talisbell 04-05-2006, 09:03 AM Ok - so I do need a few photos. If it is not a big deal, I need some of the old Roses store (to the left of the Winn Dixie) at 4066 Lexington Road with a few shots of the other "stuff" going on in the parking lot. The 2467 Jefferson is not as critical, as there is not as much funny stuff happening in that center.
My email address is tal.isbell@gmail.com
Again, if it is a problem or out of the way don't worry about it but if you can, I'll buy you a beer when you are in Atlanta or next time I am in Athens.

M3Alpine99 04-05-2006, 09:33 AM this seems suspicious...
why is "stuff" not just stuff... it has to be in quotes...

Because if you will read in the first post it clearly states that there is a massage parlor, a car wash and a bar in the parking lot.
I think anyone with an IQ at least slightly above room temperature would agree that "stuff", in quotation marks, aptly captures and conveys things or items that you generally would not want to be looking at from your windows. Especially when they are clearly spelled out and the "word or phrase" is clearly defined.
I think the second post on the topic clearly summarized the "stuff"
Geeze.
If you want to look for something suspicious, how about trying to figure out why my SRS and RC5 were never returned?http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=489543
You/you're company own the property?
I love how the "massage parlor" has parking behind the building and is open till 3AM. I'm sure they don't offer "happy endings"...
Robstah 04-06-2006, 12:08 AM Today became extremely busy. I'll try and grab the pictures for ya tomorrow. I'll drop them in your e-mail when ready. Do you care for high-res, or just enough detail to pick everything out with?

No need for high res, just enough to email to some way-out-of-town people so they can get a real feel for what is going on around the site.

No, I have a client that needs to lease space in Athens. This is one of a handfull of sites in Athens that offer enough area. This one is significantly cheaper. I have pictures of the interior to explain why it is cheap, but in the course of discussion the other day the "stuff" came up. While there is a lot of good development in the area (Lowes, etc) there are still some challenges, especially to this site.

Soap chips + gasoline = win.

talisbell 04-06-2006, 07:04 PM Thanks Rob. That was exactly what I needed and you saved me a drive out to Athens. First beer is on me. I figured out the .rar file in about 15 seconds with Google.

If you don't mind me asking, what type of retail is the client?
I've been surprised at the amount of growth on the Eastside with many new subdivisions, as well as many more families moving to the area. Hell, even the county has put a significant amount of effort into the Eastside with parks, etc.

That is true, but you still have an extreme amount of homeless living on the eastside. Let's just say there is a road off of Lexington that you really don't want to wonder through.
