Aside from draining and refilling the dif housing, is it as simple as removing the 6 - 8 bolts from the backside of the dif housing, replacing the gasket, and rebolting the backside of the dif housing. I have not done this before but am too cheap to pay a dealer $350 quoted - need to act soon - slow leak but do not want to run dry! Thanks

that's because the entire diff needs to be removed in order to remove just the cover

HOLY SHIT.....how long did it take to remove that diff? I have leaks all over mine, and I need to do the same.......

crawling under the car on the jack stands only, with a diff on my chest....looong time
