I've been meaning to post up some pics lately, but just haven't seemed to have any time lately.

Over the last couple of weeks I've done several mods, and would like to share some pictures as well as initial impressions. Here's the list of mods:

Drivetrain:

• CDV Delete (replaced with Zeckhausen Racing CDV)
• Stop-Tech Stage 2 Brake Upgrade
(including cross-drilled rotors, Axxis Ultimate pads, stainless steel lines and Motul 5.1 fluid)
• UUC Motorwerks EVO3 Short Shifter with Double Shear Selector Rod (DSSR)

Lighting:

• Hella E39 Celis LED Smoke Taillights
• Hella E39 Xenon Angel Eyes with Clear Corner Lenses

Cosmetics:

• Carbon Fiber kidneys with black slats
• Red Painted Brake Calipers
• Front Euro Plate Mounting Bracket

Now, for my impressions of the mods.

I have to echo some other threads I've read that stated that one of the single most effective mods is to change or remove the factory CDV. Since changing to the Zeckhausen CDV, I'm continually amazed at the precision that feel that my clutch has now. This is well worth the effort and very little $$$ that it takes to install this mod.

StopTech brakes and Axxis Ultimate pads: All I can say is WOW... they have good pedal feel, and generate almost NO dust! I've had them on the car for over a week and haven't had to clean my wheels! I would have done it twice already with the stock pads. They do seem to be a tiny bit noisier than the stock pads, but I'd rather have a miniscule amount of noise than a TON of dust. :clap

The UUC SSK is also a great mod, and I'm extremely glad I went with the UUC product. It does a great job at lessening the stock shifter throw, but maintains the quality feel. The shifts require a bit more effort, but you KNOW when you're in a particular gear. I'm very much enjoying driving the car with the SSK and the modified CDV!! :buttrock

The lighting upgrades from James at EuroSport Design: Really changed the overall appearance of the car! Perfect OEM fit as promised by James, and both sets of lights really work well on the E39 IMO. I HIGHLY recommend James, his company and his products to ANYONE looking to upgrade their lights. His prices are extremely competitive with the other vendors as many have previously stated.

Cosmetics: Truly a subjective thing, but I'm pleased with the overall look of the car. My custom euro plate will be going on soon, and I also am waiting for some Dinan parts to come in at the dealer. I've also got some 19s with PS2s that may go on in the next couple of weeks. I've been running the staggered M-Parallels for a while now and I've really grown to like the look of the car with them.

Please let me know what you think! Pics attached below:

Did you have stock HID's before you swapped the upgraded headlights? If you did do you want to sell them?

Your car looks great though. And I agree with what you said about James and ESD...That's who I have gone through with my previous transactions and I will continue to do so. Deffinitely a great guy and a great company.:buttrock

If you have the stock HID's do you want to sell your stock headlights? I would not need the bulbs or ballasts just the headlights themselves.

Can you tell me what the part # is on that euro front plate mount? And is that mount universal with just the M5 bumper and/or e39 540 OEM bumper?

Your 5 is really clean!
