I have an 89 750il with a dead battery. I don't know much about the car. I ordered the Bentley this morning, so hopefully that will be a start.

The doors are unlocked, but the key fails to lock the doors and it doesnt want to go all the way into the ignition.

I don't know wether I need a new key, or if it will be fixed by getting a new battery.

any ideas?
