well,
This is a great tool. I ran the diagnostic and it came up with code 6, 23, and 16.
6 = fuel injector unknown
23 = fuel injector cyl #2
16 = ignition coil cyl #7
anyone have a source for some new injectors and coils? I will replace them all at the same time.

Was your car running poorly first, or did you just do this as a check?

Took delivery of my peake saturday, plugged it in and
70 - cam sensor
04 - O2 sensor bank 1
d2 - Knock sensor cyl 1-2
d3 - Knock sensor cyl 3-4
d4 - Knock sensor cyl 5-6
d5 - Knock sensor cyl 7-8
Most of those codes are for the one cam speed sensor so now i've replaced that and both o2 sensors and all is now well again. What a wonderful tool it is, saves a lot of guess work.

it was a ruff idle until its warmed up. So I figure I have a leaky fuel injector. It also threw a CEL. The funny thing was in south FL I never threw a code. No bring it up here to MD and the first day I had it home it threw a CEL and I noticed the ruff idle. So either the Fuel injector went bad on the drive here or it does not like the cold weather.
And yes this is a great tool

Delete all the faults, drive a while and check it again. There may be some old faults stored in the system. I had my oxy sensors replaced at BMW and still got the faults oxy sensors on the PEAKE. They simply had forgotten to delete all old faults. After I did that, no fault message.

I have the R5/FCX-11 and I got O2 sensor aging fault before cat left bank so I replaced both anyway.My check engine light came back:shifty on so I checked it and the same code came back.I reset it.The light came on again:mad and now it is giving me a code that is not in the book under 750 the Tbl 9. 8C.What the hell is going on?

For coils, you could go with the Bav Auto set- they're supposed to be cheaper and higher output than OEM parts. The V8 set is still pretty expensive so I'd be afraid of what the OEM set costs.
I got my Peake tool a couple weeks back. I'm showing a code for the camshaft position sensor on one bank (5-8). Engine runs fine, so I'm pretty sure I'll just need to replace the sensor since I'm not getting any other related warnings. I also have to figure out the secondary air system codes and see if its valves or a new pump that I need. Anybody know what that map controlled thermostat circuit fault is? The thermo sensor in the side of the water pump, or the thermostat itself?

Just in case someone wants to download the latest PEAKE manuals, here is a link. I lost my one and they informed me this link
