like your vert . . . .
Is that in the Shirley Hills area?
If you ever decide to sell the vert I'd buy it as a second car. My favorite combo.
potstar1 04-05-2006, 11:34 AM No..it's on Ingleside...Actually beside the Ficklin's house...I live right down the street...is that Shirley Hills? I was thinking Shirley Hills was over by Baconsfield Apartments.....
and about if I ever sell it...I am prob gonna take it to the beach one time this spring and then sell it and replace it with a 540....so let me know, I should be ready to sell it by end of May or 1st of June.
M3Alpine99 04-05-2006, 11:55 AM nice david!!!
whens the Grand Opening man... im overly anxious!!!
potstar1 04-05-2006, 03:25 PM Still waiting on 1 license....I had to make a change to the lease and so I am now wanting on my copies of the lease to be mailed back to me from PA....once I get that, I just have to get the state alchohol license and I am back in business again.
For those not in the know...I am about to open a large pool hall in Middle Georgia...actually should be 3rd largest in the state behind Hollywood Billards and MissQ's....has 40 tables and a poker room large enough for 250....If anyone is familiar with Pool...one of the best players on the tour learned to play pool in the building my pool hall is located in ....Earl "The Pearl" Strickland.....anyway, thought that was kinda cool...
So anyway, this is my 4th club/live music venue/bar I have owned....I will get some pictures of it and post it tomorrow

Picture looked like "old Macon" and Ingleside certainly qualifies. You're right about Shirley Hills, it is across the river, near that Kroger (if it's still there...) and behind Harrisons body shop, etc...

Where you planning on opening? What did you own before?
fatgirl 04-06-2006, 12:16 AM Pretty pictures. Verts are way hawt. :)
potstar1 04-06-2006, 01:02 AM Thanks Fatgirl!!
I owned 3 bars down on Cherry St. that were pretty popular with the Mercer crowd...They were Cherry St Sports Bar(imaginitive name huh), Waterworks Bar & Grill, and Elizabeth Reed's Music Hall....I sold out completely in 2001....closed the sports bar...sold my half of Waterworks to my step-brother...and sold Liz Reeds to a guy in the navy from Jacksonville...I SOLD IT ON EBAY....me and my door guy were looking at ebay one night before we opened and I said..."hey, lets list this place on ebay and see what someone would pay for it"....well this guy saw it..emailed me...came up to check it out...saw it was crazy packed with 18-25 girls in skimpy outfits and gave me half in a cashiers check and the other half on a NAVY VISA...come to find out later that this guy goes to jail because he was the purchasing officer in Jacksonville for the naval shipyard and had bought my bar on their credit card...hilarious....he went to jail......i kept the money...my tax dollars finally came back to me.....
But anyway, Reed's was the best...had great bands....311(5 times), stuck mojo, derek trucks, gov't mule, phunk junkeez, sevendust, etc....best show ever was Phunk Junkeez/Stuck Mojo/311.....our seating capacity was 480 and we had 1350 people in there...A TOTAL GREAT WHITE MOMENT...thank god noone ignited any pyro!!!
Anyway, this place is going to be totally low key....old style pool room....good eats...good gambling....
I remember waterworks a while back, and Liz Reeds was always a popular establishment. How long did you have Reeds?
potstar1 04-06-2006, 07:03 AM I bought Reed's after Rockabilly's opened...Allen had shut Reed's down because Rockabilly's opened and he didn't want to compete against them....but I was in the process of getting waterworks ready when he decided to close down...and the only reason I was opening waterworks was to feed off Reed's traffic....so I bought it from him....actually just bought the cheap lease($500 a month rent for a 2 level nightclub!! price was fixed) and all the sound and lighting equipment and bar equipment.....we reopened on street party night and went from there.....Reed's was great, there was always a girl nude somewhere doing something!!!
