View Full Version : Got the exhaust put on today...
dblmikeusa1 03-31-2006, 11:01 PM I am impressed with the sound; deeper... Not obnoxious at all... it seems to compare to many of those in the $300 and up range. I decided to use the OBX 2.5 dia so there was no modification needed to the stock system.
Big thumbs up to Performance Muffler in Norman!! Not to mention, they did an awesome job hanging the exhaust hiding the hangers!!!
Plus the twin tips add somwhere in the range of 69 rwhp...:rolleyes
TechnoM3Girl 03-31-2006, 11:36 PM whatever you do...DONT go to university muffler which is a block down
Penguin-Police 04-01-2006, 12:54 AM Performance Muffler FTW! I got my M3 exhaust that I got from Joseph put on at that place. They did a good job and bent some things under the chassis so that the exhaust wouldn't hit anything. It was a little bent from the roll.
BTW technom3girl what's your name again? Bad memory here:(
ColoRoadster 04-01-2006, 01:09 AM What exhaust did you put on. I'm really wanting to do an exhaust system soon and I'd love to hear it. Thus far I really like the Magnaflow Street series.
TechnoM3Girl 04-01-2006, 01:11 AM carrie rhymes with gary ;)

I paid about $65 shipped for an OBX thru eBay. I am not sure if it was the exhaust and/or the 3.46 diff, but when I raced an Eclipse I got my first 2nd gear scratch... :buttrock
I like the sound becuase it is not ricey...
Whenever you want to hear it, let me know... I have a funeral until 130 tommorrow so snytime after that is cool. I will pass by your place on my way home... BTW I saw you and your chick at your complex last weekend. I believe you had a model car in your hand...
ColoRoadster 04-01-2006, 01:36 AM That was us. We were heading out to the car show in Norman. I put the model on my dash. I bought one of those Burago models and and painted it to match the roady
JedzE36/5 04-01-2006, 05:46 PM magnaflow ftw! except i am switching to flow master here in a bit.

EricP 04-02-2006, 03:06 AM I paid about $65 shipped for an OBX thru eBay. I am not sure if it was the exhaust and/or the 3.46 diff, but when I raced an Eclipse I got my first 2nd gear scratch... :buttrock
Ahh man.. Not even sure if my M3 will scratch 2nd gear, haha. I think it might be the weak guibo taking the bite off my shifts.
dblmikeusa1 04-02-2006, 04:41 AM Is it the 3.15? Well, in exchange, I gave up top end. This evening I was at 5000 RPM at 100 MPH on the freeway. Luckily I sharked the car, so my redline is 7000. I am guessing maybe another 25 MPH max...
it all depends on what you want to do... I personally prefer to hot rod the stop and go rather than test the limits of physics with my car...
