Hi, Did anyone have problem with their sun-roof inner piece (can see from the interior) disconnected from the window. It will not give a slit when the window tilted up and will not slide back when you close the window from fully open position. I have to constantly close it after openning it manually. Is there some mechanism disconnected? Is there are way that I can fix it myself? Please help.

*Close your sunroof.
*Open your sunroof just so the rear dips about 3mm (in the rear) below the roof surface. Basically, just bump the button.
*Slide the inner piece all the way forward. It should now be linked to the rest of the system.
*Try it.

my inner piece is stuck in the headliner and the sunroof hits it when i open it and i am not able to get a good hold of it to pull back into place...goddamn things. seems kinda like a common problem

Yeah, my interior panel got stuck back there too! I have been trying to just pull it back out from the sunroof opening... but it is jammed in there or something. Let me know what you guys did to fix the problem.

this just happend to me about a week ago, the sunroof shade panel is able to move freely and is not connected. I took it to the dealer today and they quoted me $1200! they said it needed a new cassette. I just researched this problem and it is known to be caused by 2 clips, one on each side of the panel, that have come off or been broken.

If you guys look in there with a flashlight you should be able to find it and give a good pull.

Mine got stuck back there last week and even before I got home, at every red light I felt around up there until I was pretty sure I had it. Gave it a good tug, and it's back to it's broken self, but at least I can still open the sunroof and use the tilt.:)
