This will most likely be the last audio question that i have. I have bought a bunch of speakers and am just curious as to what the stock 1994 BMW 325is head unit can handle. So far i have 6x9's in the back, 4's in the doors along with 1 inch tweeters, 5.25's in the kick boards, and two 10" audiobahns in the trunk with a 1000 watt amp. I was wondering if that was too much beucsae i am interested in keeping the stock look, i dont know why but it just seems fun to me to have someone sit down in the car and not know what is going to hit them. There will be crossovers on the 6x9's, 4's, and 5.25's.

what do you mean by stock look
do you want everything to blend good with the stock parts or not be able to tell you have aftermarket audio installed

pretty much....i am going to keep all the stock speaker covers and was hoping to keep the deck. I just really like the idea of having it look like the BMW that i bought. Plus with the black computer deck and orange lights and guages that are in the car it would look crappy if i could not find something that would match that and i have OCD so that would drive me f-ing nuts. I dont want people to know that i have aftermarket audio in the car.

Maybe you can give us a more detailed outline of what you are going to do (as in, what will be connected to what.) From what you have posted so far, I don't your plan is going to work out so well.

You are powering the subs AND the 6X9s? Off of what, the single "1000 W amp?" What are its channels/output ratings at different impedences, etc?

and i am proably going to do the 6x9's off of a different amp beucase i would like to use the big ones just for the subs...i am a metal fan and therefor like alot of bass in the system. As for channels and the other specs that you mentioned i am not sure about all of it at the moment but i will be able to post them later since i am in school right now.:)

When you replaced the 4" in the doors, did you replace your stock housing also?

If so, I am interested in buying it. Thanks, Morgan
