yep.

but the funny thing is something tells me that this guy ( 7840ali ) is the same guy that was running the auction and i PM'd him on Ebay letting him know that im going to outbid people for those wheels and he made a fake user name to outbid me so i can pay more. Can i get him in trouble somehow?

( 7840ali ) that username on ebay was regestered march 25th and has no feedback or any kind of bidding history. could be a new user but to randomly bid i think is very sketchy) buuuut heres what i won

You realize to run those on an E21 you are probably going to need a 20mm spacer.

ET 33, 8 1/2" wide on the rear, you are probably going to need 20 to give you good clearence.

6 1/2" on the front, you might not even need spacers.

Those are nutfabulous!

However you would most likely need a 20mm as was said before, 33ET is quite a bit.

20mm = 0.787 4inch

So in general that is a hefty piece of aluminum. You MUST get hubcentric spacers. I would recommend hubcentrics that bolt onto the drum/rotor with lug bolts. Then pertruding out from the spacer itself would be the lug studs. You most likely need just 2 20mm's for the rear, and the front might need a 10mm or maybe less. Once you get the wheels and fit them you'll have a better idea of what to do with some measurements.

The thing is with these is that 90% of tire shops dont deal with cars equiped with spacers for liability purposes. Once they're on they'll be :boobies

That guy was running 6.5 front and 8.5 rear on a 'Rado?!?!?! What the hell? Didn't he realize that it was a FWD car than he was now understeering MORE???

Oh well, nice find and good luck with them. The rear of our cars can handle quite a bit outside of stock wheel/tire combos, but you won't really know for sure until you get them and try fitting. I was running some HUGE tires out the back on 15x7 et12 wheels that had some massive bulge (225/60/15). They wouldn't clear the front struts, but were fine in the back unless the suspension traveled too far (making it a height issue, not width). Those MAY work in the rear without spacers, but don't count on it.

When I first heard of centercap spikes on european wheels, I thought it would look like "rockabilly meets new wave." But now I find them strangely pleasing. Sounds like you did your "German Oldskool" homework ;) Now make sure that car has rake!

To match all that you need billet window cranks or something. And maybe those impossible e30 cup-style mirrors.

Most of those guys simply don't care. Driving a high performance car is not really about performance anymore, especially in the uber ricey VW world. Kinda sad, really.

I saw some widebody Sciroccos with wider rear wheels in Germany/Austria back in '01. I think everybody who ran that look back then was using some sort of "Testarossa" style Rieger kit. It looks like it all came from the 80's Koenig conversions (since Willy Koenig put huge BBS RS and Testarossa widebodies on everything from Jaguars to 380SEL's and oldschool 512 BB's).

Somebody in Germany surely has a "Testarossa-kitted" e21 (yikes)

I wont need 20 mm spacers. I was expecting the worse but got the best. a 10 mm spacers in the rear and either a 5 or 10 in the front will do it. I put the wheels on today (no tires just to test fit) when i say im pulling fenders, i mean like nobodys business. its gona come out very classy, and slightly VDUBish..(down n out) i cant wait so excited. im getting the wheels repolished n cleaned up this week and some rubbers on them, (subtle stretch) other than that the rear cleared the swing arm by a hair, like right up to it, which was fine 5mm will do it, the only problem i ran into was for the front like usual, excelt this time it didnt hit the strut not anything else, the center hub of the 320 was a tad larger then the hub opening on the RM's so i figure depending on how much poke i have on the rear will determine the spacer..5 to 10mm should do the trick. WOW. Next after wheels im gona start to install my 120mph speedo which the needle to hold the speedo needle from dropping below zero was broken, im gona have to either put another 1 on (if it comes apart) or make a small piece. no biggie. I have many more plans, just funds are low after this buy. i can make that 1000 back in 7 days like i did anyway. haha cash monaaaayyy..

JBOB..sweet fuckin car man! congrats:stickoutt
