i am putting together a custom CAI for the beem, and ive driven it a few days with the K&N cone filter only and the mass air sensor kinda kickin it by itself. I had no problems for a few days, until today the check engine light has come on. Is it a coincidence, or is the mass air meter getting too hot? the custom heat shield is at the machine shop, and i will be finishing the project tomarrow. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any help or input would be greatly appreciated!!!!

you might have a vacuum leak somewhere. check all the hoses.

I've heard cracked hoses are notorious in European cars

didnt have a problem with mine

could be like me...my o2 sensors went bad and thru up like 5 codes...go to autozone and get the codes, write them down and check it online to see what they are.
