I'm trying to help a friend of mine find one of these...I know they are all automatic but she can't drive manual and she likes the Alpina package anyway...
I have searched Ebay, Autotrader, Cars.com, and a few other places...can someone point me in perhaps an E52 specific forum where they'd have a classifieds section or even a website that would specialize in limited production European cars...I'd appreciate it alot! Thanks!

Deff. check out dupont regisrty... Something like that is pretty rare, and wouldn't be found in a normal classified

Check out Valley BMW in Modesto California they have an Alpina Z8 on the showroom floor it has been there almost a year. I believe it used to be the personal car of the guy who owns the dealership.

If that doesn't work out, try posting your message at www.bmwz8.us. That's where Z8 owners "play." Also, Crevier BMW in Irvine, CA had a new Alpina Roadster on the showroom a couple of weeks ago. May still be there.

Saw one of those today near my place (in Calabasas, CA). Silver on red/black (best color IMO). Looked really hot, especially with the 20" Alpina rims. :buttrock
The only thing I don't like about the Z8 (and Alpina V8-R) is the fact that the gauges are in the center of the dash, and that it's not ergonomic. But I'm sure if I actually drove one I'd be more forgiving. :)

Thanks for the help guys...we ended up finding a Silver one in Texas with almost 9,000 miles. I'll get some pictures in a few weeks. :)
EDIT - Here's the link to the car if anyone is interested...
