I'm one of the many many people with the infamous hesitaion problem. (See http://bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=407255 )

I was wondering if anyone in the CT area would be willing to help out. I'm looking to try someones DME out. I would drive to you, and do all the swapping / work. I'm just trying to eliminate the option of a faulty ecu.

I dont know my ecu number but from 93 - 95, vanos is what i'm looking for.

Let me know if anyone is willing to help, it would really be appriciated. This problem is driving me absolutely nuts. We've got almost 30 pages of people trying things and recent activity is beggining to point to ecu possibly being the problem. Thanks everyone!

whats up with this no smiles Bullshit i have to type everithing twice.

well i got my car a month ago the lady who i got the car from said the car had a short she took it to the stealer and they said the ecu so she replace it there.i asume since it is the dealer they replaced it with a new one but anyways it ended up being an electric short and the ecu was good.

found a receipt at the car apparently the ecu was replaced with a brand new one for no fucking reason ill ask aroun here in vegas to see if anyone else has this problem.
