I take my 97 M3 to Joe at D'Agostino Brothers Foreign Car Service on Long Ridge Rd. in Stamford. I like his work - he's honest and fair, but I haven't had any suspension or SRS diagnosis done yet. I'm sure he's quite capable, though. He does alot of work on BMWs, especially pre-2000 era models.

I've heard of this shop in New Milford that apparently does pretty good work. I have a friend of mine that had his whole suspension replaced there on his 318 and he thought the cost and service was awesome. He keeps trying to get me to stop by there and check it out but it's a ways from my apartment.

I'm sure if you ask nicely they will do an SRS diagnostic for free (most places don't really care). Don't know about inspections though, I would give them a call.

Hope that helps.

If I lived closer to AutoTechnic, I would use them all the time for my cars, but I live 40 miles from there. I was at AutoTechnic recently to sell them a used set of wheels/tires from my old e30. I liked what I saw there. And I've spoken to someone else in CT that uses them for their 5-series and they are very pleased with AutoTechnic's service.

When I was there recently, I did learn that they provide loaner cars for folks like me that live far away. But they said you need to make an appointment well in advance so that they can make sure they have a loaner available. So the next time I need an upgrade or something major done, I think I'll be heading to AutoTechnic! But for oil changes and routine stuff, I'll continue to use D'Agostino Brothers in Stamford as I mentioned in my post above since they are closer to me.

I've brought my car to JP Motors in Woodbridge (203)387-6894. This past winter they replaced my ball joints, water pump, fan, clutch, and some other small parts. They're a foreign car specialty place (mainly bmw, mb, porsche) but they're still reasonabley priced IMO.
