...for $24,000. 45k miles, black on black, absolutely perfect. I mean, not a scratch on it. Concours ready. Does this seem too much?

Yes. I think you should offer $21,000-22,000. Any mods on that $24k car? Even if everything is spotless and works 100% perfectly, it's still a bit overpriced.

There was a Korman-built M5 for sale for around $25k, probably running over 300HP, beautiful condition, sold(?) several months ago.

Good Luck!!!

Nope, completely stock. No new paint or anything...Thanks for the advice.

Resale price goes down with mods, not up. Stock is good on an '88 M5, especially on one of the very few made with black interior.

It was on autotrader.com, and I tried to find it, but I guess it's sold. I kinda gave up on it b/c I really don't want to pay $24,000 for a 14-year-old car, no matter if it's worth it or not.:dunno

It would have been a great buy for a trailer/garage queen... but not something you drive regularly. find one with some minor flaws that won't bug you not to fix and then DRIVE IT!
