Here's my fun day today. Sorry it's so long.

So... I took my Blizzaks off my 318ti two weeks ago because the winter here in Minneapolis has been weak as could be. The Fuzion ZRis went back on. Well today we got a lovely 12" of heavy, wet, and dense snow and the Fuzions are terrible!! (I was not expecting them to be good at all, but just not this bad.)

First off I got stuck in the parking lot at work. It took one full hour to get out. I made the mistake of parking in a good 16" drift, so the car was just floating above the pavement. The tires (tire) just spun like crazy. I think I need a LSD. :devillook The entire lot was unplowed BTW, so I had no choice on where to park.

Anyways I decided my Blizzaks snows needed to go back on ASAP, so I headed to my folks house where I store them. The 10 mile drive was just scary the whole way. I barely could make it up the slightest grade. I got stuck twice, and got out, but finally stuck her for good, on a flat unplowed backstreet. I came up with the idea to walk to the house (now just two blocks away), get 2 snow tires for the rear, and install them on the street.

I get them on, start her up and the Blizzaks just bite like crazy; pulled me right out!!! :buttrock The next two blocks were all uphill on completely unplowed roads. >12" of wet concrete-like snow/ice. No problem AT ALL! :D Well just slight slipping, but I never got close to getting stuck. I was smiling for like 15 minutes ;)

Long story longer, Blizzak WS-50 snow tires are simply amazing! The traction difference between these two tires is absolutely staggering!! I knew Blizzaks were good, just not this good. I know most know this already, but I thought it was very intersting to have a true back-to-back comparison.

Any true UHP tire is going to be absolutely sh*t in the snow. Doesnt matter if it is Fuzion, S-03, PS2 ALL summer tires are GARBAGE in the snow.

If you think the WS50 is good, you should try the LM-25 :)
