I haven't owned a BMW for a few years but I am just about to purchase a 1999 740iL as a daily driver. My last Bimmer was an 850iA with Momo "Silver Arrows" shod with Firestone Firehawks. My questions:<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

1. Will those wheels/tires fit on the 740? (They were only used for two months before I traded the car and are almost new)

2. Are "Silver Arrows" still considered "cool"? At one time, quite a few 328's around here had Arrows and I always thought they looked very elegant and understated. But I can't have my son drive a car if the wheels are "old school", can I? <wink>

TIA!

actually that would make him cooler. as long as he knew and acknowledged that they were old school.

No problem there. And they'll fit?

Those rims ARE old school but they still beat stock rims, unless you have the M Parallels on the 7 series stock.

They will fit.

:) I just realized....I forgot to post a photo after I had these installed. Well, I think they STILL look OK, "old school" or not.
