What kind of damage can really be repaired, when it comes to wheel bends, etc?

I am looking at a set of OZ Superleggeras that were driven solely on road courses, but I am afraid to close the deal as they have been repaired --- they were repaired by a professional wheel repair shop, of course, but...

... I just want some reassurance from someone other than the seller :D

Nothing against the seller - the seller is VERY reputable, in fact.

Thanks for the help,

Repaired how?

Not sure.

All I know so far is that two of them were damaged a li'l from hitting the curbing - the driver is a very competent one, truly.

I don't have too many details, though --- I know SuperLegs are pretty strong, but these are 18" and run on an E46 M3, so they were subject to a li'l more weight :D

Bent and straightened, fine. Cracked and welded, not so much.

Any ideas how exactly they straighten bent wheels?

And can they ever truly be returned to round again?
