Okay, as some of you might know, I am new to a BMW and to this site so please forgive my stupidity. What am I to do with the old cell phone that came with this car?? It is about 4 times larger than my new phone. I read a post on this forum about a "bluetooth" adapter for the new 745 models. Can that work on the 2000 model? I am looking for other options that can be useful. I currently have a Motorola 815 phone.

I would look in my owners manual but the latch on my glove box is broken and I can't get in it to read up.

Thank you!

Hello - I am somewhat new to this forum as well...and one of my first posts was this exact question. One would think that there would be a simple adapter that you could use to connect your current cell phone, enabling it to work in the car... but I have been told NO... can't be done (I have an '01 740iL)....

Using the serch button on this site is very helpful. Here's the Bluetooth option which can easily be installed in any E38 as far back as 1995:
