Hey buddy your doing this the hard way! All you have to do is stick a phillips screw driver into this top left hole next to the fog light housing! (driver side)
Its been a minute since I did this but if it aint just try the other hole! Anyways, this pic is of the passenger side fog for reference.

Actually...the procedure is explained in your owners manual, too. :D

But instead of a phillips head or flat head screw driver...open your trunks tool kit and use the wheel pin instead. Its the straight metal thingy with the gray plastic tip. This tool has the perfect diameter and length that fits the release hole (the upper one) that ejects the foglight. It works a lot better than a screwdriver...which sometimes you have to fiddle around with to get it to hit the "spot" that ejects the fog light. The wheel pin tool will slide up into the hole and hit the "sweet spot" like it was made specifically for the job. :D

Here's the instructions from the owners manual:

Hey Guys I hate to resurrect the dead and all but i figured it better than posting an entirely new thread for something related. I was going to install my new fogs when I realized that the securing clips that actually hold the foglights in are missing. Any suggestions on where I can get a hold of them or am I s.o.l. an need to get a new lower grille assembly? Thanks

not sure if this is the exact piece you're looking for, but it's a great start..every part you need can be found on realoem.com to purchase you might have to use pelican or maximillian's websites...of course if it's the bracket it's only 6bucks so save time and get it from the dealer...
