so on my 2002, it was running pretty rich, but then it just stopped working. it wont crank over. nothing comes out of the exhaust, i have sparks in all the cyllinders, im not sure about the timing of it, so (its a car at my school's autoshop, and people tend to mess around with things) so i played around with there the spark plug wires were on the distributor cap (keeping the firing order intact) and there was no difference when i changed the position. the spark plugs are wet, and smell of gasoline, so i figure it might be flooding. any ideas?

If the sparks are wet with gas they are not firing. Set the timing at TDC - rotor aligned with mark on dizzy, front pulley alligned with pointer. Make sure its a compresion stroke, not an exhaust stoke (both #1 valves closed). Set points and plug gap and firing order (numbers on valve cover). Turn over with a plug lead off to confirm spark. Connect plug lead and try starting it. A shot of 'start ya bastard' might help kick it over. Beaner7102

Somebody sabotaged it for sure. I had problems like that. Check for disconnected wiring, but it doesnt fire for sure.

if it's not turning over, then you either not have enough power to the starter, or the started is dead. You should have it turn over even if there is no fue or spark.
