Hey guys, this weekend I'm going to be getting a new sub/amp setup for my bimmer. I am debating whether to spend extra money and purchase a custom headunit...but i dunno. What i REALLY want to do is just keep my old headunit...I went to a local audio shop and they told me it would cost 150$ to custom MAKE a wire and splice it with shit, so i can run an external amp for the subs. I have researched how to wire an amp to the stock headunit, but i find it somewhat confusing + im not SUPER electrically inclined. Anyone willing to help? Also, i've heard that with the stock headunit, it limits the sound quality..anyone experience this? Any help/advise would be GREATLY appreciated!! THanks!
