840 already has a real Cold Air Intake. Forward facing outside air inlet with built in water separation. Designed as freeflow as can be too.

With the original Mahle air filters they are supposed to out flow and definitely outclean the K&N panel and cone filters too.

So I suppose that you gain sound effects but performance gains would be hard to come by.
