Hey. I know you guys and trust you pretty well.

A member on here wants 350$ shipped for a set of tokico shocks and vogtland lowering springs with ~5000 miles on them.

Im not looking for ultra high performance, just want to lower it a little bit.

Is it worth it to pay 350$ for a set of barely used stuff?

Thanks for the opinions,
Morgan

I bought used springs once..and it was FTL....just cause you dont really know how long they were REALLY used for..

dont waste your shit load of money. Just get some Koni Double adjustables and ground control adjusters and some Eibach 500.225.500 springs or 500.250.500
along with Ground Control camber plates. that should lower it alot.

bimmerparts has Bilstein sports for $450 shipped and then get some H&R sports for like $200ish. Done and done.

I know, I mean, I could try to find the serial numbers from the springs and put them up here to make them almost sound as cool as the setup you listed ;)

All depends on your budget...

Buy the best you can with the budget you are working with.

i dont have a large budget...

the stuff i listed is adequate for my performance level, or lack there of (im a looks guy), just want the wheels tucked a little, i dont want the thing slammed...

Is there anything wrong with buying the suspension?

Is that brand shitty?

Will used suspension be screwed up?

bam! herpes, makesm e laugh.

I know the budget thing, he was pretty CO with that.

But anyway, the question im asking is not waht i should buy, but if there is anything wrong with buying this.

Its like making a thread "Hey, here is my car, should i get M mouldings?"

and getting a responce of "Hey, it needs clears, LTW's and a drop, and estoril paint"

Budget not an issue, just get some coilovers, like Bilstein PSS or FK Highsports and slam the shit of it and call it a day...

thats what i was looking for.

I ont want it slammed, lancaster couty roads? Fuck that.

Coilovers are unneccessary, i just want it lowered a little, and dont need it adjustmen.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Your car, do with it what you want.

honestly, if looks are what you're after, just plop on some H&R Race/Sport springs for $250 and call it a day. Your stock shocks might blow out after a year, at which point you can upgrade to bilsteins or konis.

spoken like a true ricer....

hell, you should just take a sawzaw to your stock springs and call it a day. no money spent!

lol. seriously.

H&R race/sport on stock shocks? screw that. definitely go for the aftermarket stuff. stock shocks blow.......literally.

Hey Morgan, if you want, my current Bilstein Tourings have about 10k on them. I'll be putting on Bilstein Sports in a few weeks, but if you want them, you can have them, so then all you'd need would be some lowering springs.

im going to take a picture of the rear spring from my racecar. Cut an 10inch spring to get my rear springs. well actually i didnt do it it was like that when i bought it from my dads friend, but i replaced them with so nicer equipment. Koni's

H&R sport is a great suspension thats what was on my blue car then i changed springs and did some other things that are classified

I'd rather have H&R sports on stock shocks than "Tokico" shocks. Never heard of them

then you probably have never heard of kyb or tein, huh?

Preppy, you wanna give those up for free? Id pay sihpping.

And also, will they support lowering springs without blowing out?

Are they as clean as pictured above?

How many miles are on your current shocks?

TMS has the package with Bilstein/H&R for about 800... save and you'll be happy...

But if your budget is fixed for that amount... then save for a little while.. you will be much happier 15k miles down the road.

just buy em. This should work for you. There you go.

tokicos are good shocks. tokico blues are on the cheap end of their line, but they're fine. You see em on more Japanese applications.

I'll bring them with me back up to PA, and when we meet at the next KoP or BBW meet, I'll give them to you, you can pay for my lunch or something, how about that?

Yeah, it's hard to gauge how much life is left on shocks/struts to be honest with ya, I've been driving on them for 10k now, and because they're Bilstein Tourings and not Sports, they're designed more for a stock application, not lowered setting....thus why it's hard for me to be able to tell you how much life is left on them....but for what it's worth, I think there is some good life left on them, I just can't tell you how much :)
