View Full Version : March 18 - MIR Test and Tune
Tochenzo 02-28-2006, 11:26 PM I'm planning on going to MIR (Maryland International Raceway) on March 18th for the test and tune with a few friends, which is $30 for unlimited runs. It opens this saturday, but I expect it to be extremely busy. Here's more info from the site, I'm hoping to get some more bimmer guys to cruise up there with me :devillook

Tochenzo 03-02-2006, 11:05 PM damn too busy this sunday, putting the m50 manifold in :) is capitol a good strip? Never been there
no idea as i've only lived in MD for a few weeks now. lol
but i guess i'll find out this sunday :)

I think capitol is one of the worst tracks very very unorganized and lay out is
stupid and workers there are not that friendly.I will go there if there is no other track open in Md or Nj.
had on ok time at capitol today.....
i saw a silver e30 m3 there with rollbar/racing seats, but they were leaving as i was getting tech'd.
had to wait for an hour or so and then after i made my pass and tried to stage again, i find that they're done racing and closing up the lanes.
but nonetheless, i did better than my 1st time out and the 03-04 cobra that i ran did horrible for being a cobra.
old times:
60' - 2.209
1/8 - 9.399 @ 77.05
1/4 - 14.440 @ 97.18
new time:
60' - 2.109
1/8 - 9.204 @ 79.57
1/4 - 14.208 @ 99.21
03-04 cobra that ran with me:
60' - 2.510
1/8 - 9.347 @ 85.98
1/4 - 13.817 @ 110.54
i'd say that's pretty embarrassing for a s/c cobra, as i think they are supposed to run like high 12's stock.... i really wanted to hit a 13.9, but i guess i'm not gonna get it til i start making some quicker 60 foots. although i got a 14.2, i was satisfied with my 99mph trap. that has the potential for high 13's.....
