I have been looking around for an 01 M3. Ebay.....Auto Trader....Cars.com, and I have found some insanly cheap cars. And I mean to cheap...but I know you can get in huge trouble to list a "mis-represented" car on ebay, and it is pretty hard to actually sell one. So here is what I have found.

01 Vert 60K miles Manuel Tranny....$6800 buy it now+shipping.
01 Coupe 57K miles Manuel Tranny....$8000 including shipping.

Now these are some crazy deals. These all claim to have clear titles. Anyone have any ideas?

Think katrina, think flooding. You'll probably get the car, but it'll be junk, do a search (google) on all the issues with flooded cars.

I've been looking for the same, lowest prices I've found for 50-60k were from about 28k-32k not too bad. I'd suggest waiting until the V8's hit the market

Wow to this thread. It is obviously a scam. These have been going on for over 2 years now and somehow people still arn't catching on. They do it many different ways but the main thing they do is ask a crazy cheap price for a car and scam you. It has nothing to do with "you get what you pay for" because you're paying for nothing.

FastAlpine put it perfectly in the last line. Im not only so tired of people posting these threads saying what gives but being a car dealer I would constantly get calls from people saying some scammer was using my pictures. I mean it was nice to hear but what do you want me to do about it. I'm sure this wont be the last thread of this nature either.

if people are stupid enough to think you can get an e46 M3 for 8-10k, they almost deserve to be taken.

I guess M3 owners dont go by KBB cause on there it lists for about 28 but most 01's go for about 30K I wouldnt pay more than 32K for a 2001. I would say if you keep your eyes open you might be able to find a good deal for 27 but anything less than that probably has some issues.

Exactly.... it's a pain in the ass, too, because EBay motors is being watered down with these scams. :mad I am sick of looking for cars and coming across 15 "Buy it now for $6k" cars...

Even a salvage titled e46 m3 flooded, wrecked, what have you will cost way more than $6k even directly from an insurance auction. If it was priced at something like $12k, then it could possibly be a flooded car with a "clean" title.
