Okay, so I set out to buy a E36 M3 a few months ago but ran across this E39 540i 6 speed in Pristine condition and felll in love, I love the car everytime I get in it but, Im young and dont need 4 doors and love my roommates E36 coupe... So Here I am thinking Do I want to sell this beast or keep it, or do I want to see if someone wants to upgrade????

What im looking for 97+ M3 2door coupe, 5 speed, Vaders. Silver, Cosmos blk, White, or Blue in that order. Interior Black, Magma, Alcantera(long shot) not too excited about Dove grey(looks like dirty white to me...) reasonable mileage, non smoker, CLEAR TITLE, clean, Limited mods.

Im in no need to sell or trade the car anytime soon this is just purely to see if there is someone that is the opposite of me looking to upsize.

Car specs:
~1997 540i 6 speed Sport
~Cosmos Black on Black leather(Darth Vader wouldnt have it any other way)
~Black smoke/brushed trim inside no wood!
~Very rare Sport leather manual seats (non power)
~DSP sound
~Fully loaded
~Dealer installed Dinan chip @ 17k miles
~HID/Xenon headlights
~Smoked signals all around.(NO cheesy altezas)
~Most service records, All dealer serviced to 60k+ miles under CPO
~93k miles
~Entirely new cooling system (precaution not fixed due to failer)
~All recent precaution maintanence (bro works for BMW!)
~New 19" Axis 5 spoke rims, very clean staggered rims all around 19x8.5 & 19x9.5 w/ brand new rubber.
~New High Flow cats and upgraded exhaust (cant see it, slight rumble)
~NON SMOKER
~I recently Dyno'd the car purely for entertainment pulled a VERY strong 265whp and 288 ft lbs tq (= about 320hp & 330 tq at the flywheel)

Bad:
~Small dent on hood
~cup holders are broken (ALL E39 & E38's)
~some dead pixles on cluster (talked with BMW NA they will work out something to fix it!)

I fell in love with this car after driving 4 E36 M3's back to back this thing will eat up a M3 with all the torque and comfort but I really long for another coupe.

I have recently done all the major services that a typical E39 540 needs... lets say its good for another 100k without complaint!

I hold the title no lein.

I love the car, like I said if no one is interested fine ill keep it im just wasting 3 doors everyday when I go to work.

Thanks, Jon

Its hard to put a price on it...
I just did 2k worth of general maintenance so thats hard to forget...

I have about 21k in it since I bought it in the fall, I know I wont recoupe all of it but maybe a ballpark of $18k OBO

Im in no need of selling it or trading it but if I were to get cash $18k I could take and be able to sleep at night.

here are some picts:

This is when I bought it, Pre: Rims, HID's, & Smoked corners.

You can see the dent in the hood on the pass side above kidney grille.

Very beautiful car, but... High blue book is only $15,700 and with the dent it is "good condition" not excellent so more like $14,800 - 18K might be a stretch!

Note - if you fix that dent you will get higher offers! How did it happen by the way?

If you are interested in taking other offers, I would like to see some pics of the interior, the mods (lights, rims) and a close up of the dent.

Like I said 18k OBO if someone offered me 15k I would say go buy a less clean example with about 120k miles, and unknown history, no Rims & tires, no smoked lenses, no hid's and a less desirable package. Then have them get the car to where this one is and they will notice they just spent over 18k.

I would entertain a serious offer between 16-18k depending on if I had to fix the dent which I have been quoted twice at 500-800.

The dent was there when I bought the car, I was told it was a parking lot incident with a pickups hitch which makes perfect sense cause of the height and shape.

Call me!
