View Full Version : looking to get a E30...advise? Mr Magoo 02-23-2006, 12:30 AM As stated, I am thinking about getting a E30 but have never even riden in one. If I get one I plan on putting a e36 motor in it and swapping out the supension as well. Any years I need to stay away from? Also, any advise as to what I need to check when looking for a prospect? Any advise is appreciated.... The 88 is technically a late model also but it still has the huge aluminum bumpers . Easy swap though . Austin 02-23-2006, 08:37 PM The older cars with big bumpers sell for cheap which would be good for the engine swap which is what I plan todo on my e30. Either a 323 head or M50 motor. If I can find a 323 head for $150 that is. Parts a cheap plenty of room under the hood when working on them. Get the 325is the eta is to slow. I am going to either get a E30 or a E36 because there is so much more things you can do with them and I think the next car is going to be all about speed.
