when i went to my car to go to work this morning, the guy that parks next to me in the parking garage in my apartments has this truck with really nice 20" wheels. his wheels where gone and the truck was sittin on top of 2 tires. Lucky for me they liked his wheels better then mine. Im all scared now that I will be next. Does BMW make some kind of device the you can keep with you that warns you when the alarm is going off?

You can get tilt sensor for most alarms too. So if your car is not level as in being jacked up then the alarm will go off too.

Wheel locks will slow them down too.

Wheel locks are easiest and cheapest. You can use more than one set with different keys.

Many alarms have motion sensing which will set off the alarm if someone is in the zone around the car for a period of time. Clifford is one of those. Clifford also has a tilt/motion sensor that will set off the alarm if the car is moved or jacked up. And, Clifford offers alarms with 2-way LCD remotes that indicate the status of the alarm and will notify you if the alarm goes off.

you have to be careful when buying these systems tho, a lot are meant for automatic transmissions, if you drive a mtx, (i'm sure you do) you might want to look into those options

I talked to the apartment manager about the guys wheels. the security cameras dont show anything unusual. it was probably someone that lived in the apartments. The guy had the wheels for only a few months. sucks for him

or tuner lugs. that need a key, the only problem is, if the other guy is smart and has tuner lugs, he might have a key for it....... but at least its better than nothing
