well im new here with a 2005 X5 3.0. its all black and beige interior. im plannin on tinting the windows to 20s all around but it already came with the privacy glass option. but im sure that could be sorted out at the tint shop to make everything equal. but i have heard a lot of bad things happen when u get tint. like ur windows get skrewed up. is it worth it?

Congrats on the new ride. 20s all around would be way too dark, especially if you already have privacy glass (you'll be doing 20s on top of the 35s that's already there). It's also very dangerous at night when you have to back up...which basically makes you blind in reverse. But if that's what you want, then go for it. As far as getting your windows screwed up, it just depends on the shop you have the work done on. I had my tint on for 2 years now...no problems. Personally, I don't like "limo" tints...it's more "classy" to have 30%-35% tints all around on a bimmer.

tinting doesn't screw your window up, based on my experience. but cops would probably screw you up depending on your state laws.
